If you said that this watch was for the dogs, you wouldn’t be far from the truth, because the functionality of this watch was inspired by a 200 mile World Cup dog sled race, around 5 volcanoes, in far Eastern Siberia, back in 2004…

The ‘Outdoor Utility Timepiece, Compass and Survival Tool’ – or ‘O.U.T.C.A.S.T.’ for short, is a new tool watch, being developed in two Phases.  We are currently seeking people to test our experimental bezel (either in their own watch, or a watch we offer) which combines:

  • a compass bezel
  • tide tracking
  • countdown timer
  • an elapsed MINUTE timer
  • 12-hour markings (a second time zone, or elapsed time in HOURS)
The ‘no date’ dial combines elements from both Field & Sea watches, with a 24-hour inner track, and NON-luminous 3, 6, and 9 markers, designed to help naturally orient the watch quickly, in the dark.
